Oh i have just realised that i havent written anything here for a whole week!
My week has been good, very busy...
Monday was in stran nine-five then i had to do stuff for stran the next day, then i read the preps the bfg and went to bed.
Tuesday - stran 9-5 again, then a soul mates meeting that i went from stran to, we gots lots of things sorted for weekend like lunch bags and the stewards came for training.
Wednesday - day of stran - went down to DYCW and stuck labels on glow in the dark stars for soul mates.
Thursday - stran and Junction (4th form up boarders discussion group) which went ok. We watched three film clips related to faith; the matrix do you know kung fu and jump programme bit, harry potter being told he is a wizard, and then trying to get on to platform nine and three quarters.
Friday - Stran 9-1 (beautiful!) then soul mates!!!!
Soul mates was absolutley amazing as always. We had about 250 9-13 year olds (and their leaders) from all over Ireland (West Cork being the furthest.) Then we had an asortment of other people, stewards (wearing bright yellow t-shirts) the band, SMOG (which stands for Soul Mates Organising Group, which i've been on for three years now!) day visitors, press (in the form of Lynda Nielands from the methodist Newsletter) and other people...... around 350 people in all.
SMWK was really good, the speaker (jill mcVittie) was excellent, the workshops and seminars were great, the entertainment was beezer (there you go beattie) and the worship was awesome. The kids worshipped god with everything they had, not caring if they looked silly and not worrying if they were the only people with their hands up, it was so great. I love soul mates, i cant wait til next year..... but maybe sleep would be an idea first.......
