Tuesday did end up as quite a thinking day. Michael came round to methody and we talked all about sociology and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. Tuesday was also the day that Depp the goldfish that lives in the off-duty staff room died. It was very sad, he had been looking a bit peaky for a few weeks and then he died, but the saddest thing was we had a memorial service for him and then only three people came, my friend sharon (who owned the fish) her boyfriend and me. But it was ok in the end so now my fish is the only fish in methody. Maybe because i didnt leave my fish in the O-D to be terrorised by people tapping his bowl and picking him up and tormenting him...

Then on wednesday i was on duty and the girls were fine to wake up in the morning - the Preps (p5/p6) call me Algie-hen. Then i had a busy day - I went home and voted and visited my granny and gramdpa because it was there anniversary and grandpas bday, then i got a bus into town and started my christmas shopping! Then i went home and changed my shoes cos they were soaked and bumped into my main lecturer Norman, in methody and found out his daughter goes there. Then i met Stephen for lunch which after walking round town in the rain we had in cafe renoir and we had soup that was yummy apart form the sticks in it! Then Rob came to meet us and i had to go to do duty at three.

Duty was ok. It was very quite until 5 and then we had tea and then it was study time and i took the first and second years and they were so unsettled! I ended up spending about twenty minutes explaining how to multiply decimals and the rest of the time shhhhhing them. But it was funny because i was doing my philosophy reading at the same time and it was all about how education should be child-centred and be built arund the nature of the child and how wrong it is to force children to sit still and be quiet while all along i was threating them with being sent to bed early. So they were hyper all night and it took me from 9-10.15 to get them into their beds and reasonably settled - but i think thats because i told them that i was going to tell the senior mistress how noisy the were and how she would be coming up to check on them and it was up to them what she found.

Then at 10.30 i came home for my day visit today.
