today i felt really cared for. it was lovely.

I've spent a good few months trying to get a book out of the library at stran - one thats essential reading for my course, but hasnt really been urgent until last week or so (assignment is due in on the 12th) But of course the 12 copies of it are on loan and for me to sit and read all the useful bits in the library would take a whole day. So i had priced the book on amazon and decided that there really was no price difference between it and queens so today i went to buy it.

Got to the shop and i couldnt find the book. I asked the friendly man to help and he looked and said they had sold out. Went to Queens Library to look for relevant books. All relevant books on loan ( to clever stran people) So went down to DYCW to wait for stephen.

Got to DYCW and David Rock was telling me about how he needed a book for his course that cost £75. He didnt want to buy it and no libraries had it but in the end Magee are sending it to jordanstown and allowing him a special card to let him borrow it.

David asks me how i am. i tell him that i am also having a book problem. I tell him the story. David and Nicky both come up with several ploys of how i could get this book. Nicky checks amazon. They suggest requesting it from the library. Nicky checks the jordanstown uni catalogue. They find the book. I text Lydia who gets it out for me on her card. Im meeting her on friday to get it.

David and Nicky didnt have to be concerned about my book. They didnt have to think of ways to help me. They didnt have to check things on the internet for me but they did, and i got my book (well lydia has it). But i came out of the dept smiling. Because they cared, they went that extra mile. It was a real godly grace moment that made me feel cared for.

I love moments like that.
