i have just managed to fix the computer - im quite impressed as i am in no way technical its extremley slow but it works which is good.

Today was a very sad day - my friend Cheryl is heading off to university in newcastle to do a pgce so she can be a primary school teacher and today was the last day that im going to see her until christmas probably. We went to revive in sprucefield for coffee, meeting ruth after school in hillsborough. It was nice although it doesnt really seem real that shes going. cheryl drove and just before she dropped me home i gave her her leaving present - a picture of the three of us on our cork road trip last year looking all beautiful because we were going to a ball and tescos vouchers to help get her set up in newcastle. Cheryl and i both love tescos - we are the same shape and roughly the same size so we both keep an eye out for clothes for each other and we find lots of nice things in tescos - also cheryl has to kit out her life over there because there isnt room in the ka to take things over and she has been going on for months about how amazing and huge the tescos over there is. It was sad though - i made her cry and then because she was crying i was crying. I dont like saying bye to people.

Ive also been pining for methody a bit this last week - my friends jenny and lesley moved back in there on sunday and i miss all the fun and all the craic. But i know its not practical, so its just pining not seriously considering going back in there.

Yesterday was the trip to portrush which was amazing. I had never been to barrys and i dont normally get trains so it was such an adventure. An adventure which stephen organised so that i didnt have to be responsible and grown up. I loved it. I also learnt how to play cheat which was good fun - although it appears that i have lost of knack of believeable lying - may not be a bad thing!!!!!

Castlewellan reunion was on tuesday night - it was good fun, nice meal, good company, really enjoyed it. We went to Nicky and Heidis afterwards and listened to PJ and Duncan - heidi is so cool (nicky turned it off quite early though - booo!) We stayed out a bit too long though so it meant i was tired on the portrush adventure.

Found a noel streatfeild book in the 2nd hand book shop today. She is one of my most favourite authors. If i were to be a story book character it would be in one of her books. The first book of hers i read was ballet shoes and i loved it - i read it about 3 times a year - its great. I have also read most of her gemma books. The one i found today was tennis shoes - her own favourite of the ones shes written, so im excited about it.

Got an email today about stewarding at autumn soul, which made me a bit sad because im missing it this year to go down south - but i think it was the right descision and im excited about what i will be doing instead!

Phoned today to find out about registering for my sign language course that i want to do and the lady was so rude! Made me want to do it less if i have to go through rude people to do it.

Still looking forward to school starting back so that ill have something to do - but i know that once it does ill be complaining and need a break after the first week. would still like to do some nice things before its time to go back though.
