today was first year registration in stran, i was there in my very fetching exec tshirt - i managed to order turquoise rather than yellow - so glad!!!!! it was nice to get to meet all the first years and be a friendly face. I remeber when i started stran i was so glad when i saw handsome john because he was someone i knew. Even if i didnt know them at least i could be friendly and helpful. It was fun.

Its strange though because im very different to everyone else on exec. Im alot quieter and i could really see all the actual union stuff (drinking nights etc) far enough. But i guess you need a mix of people in everything. Tonight is a games night - drinking games and things like pass the ice cube. Oh dear. Not looking forward to it but i guess that as its the first night i'll have to go and show my face and introduce myself. Also as the only home student on exec its weird having to leave everything early and say that i cant do stuff because i wont be on campus - but kate (the president) is very good and has told me she understadns if i cant or dont want to trek back for everything every night.

Part of me wishes i had a free day this week though for an adventure...
