today i went with nicky and all her friends to queens open day - which was fun because everyone kept saying "and what do you want to do?" to me which made me laugh. The nicest places we went were union and edgehill - so friendly- because julie wants to do theology. One of nickys friends wants to go to stran so that was good because i was able to tell her all about it.

Nicky and i went to the department ( just visiting) and to the trustees about jma money and then we went for lunch. We literally went to the first place we came across - Maggie Mays. It was lovely because nicky and i never just hang out. Nicky is also quite a picky eater so i was glad when she was able to find and eat something she liked.

On a really upsetting note, we were in the centra in town just before we got the bus home and i saw this boy wearing a t-shirt about Jesus, which made me smile. But i couldnt read what it said properly and then when he turned around in the shop i saw that his t shirt had a picture of a cross and in the border around the outside of it in a circle it said "Jesus Christ died for his sins not mine." I very nearly burst into tears in the shop, no exaggeration, my eyes filled up and everything. it just makes me so sad to think that someone is so against god that they will wear it on a t-shirt, its another thing to quietly disbelieve but to wear it on a t shirt. It just sounds so angry - like he is fed up with people telling him about jesus. I really wish that i had spoken to him, but i was too shocked, upset and hesitant. i didnt even know what i would have said. Although thinking about it know all i would ask is how can a man who is widely accepted today as "a good teacher" end up being crucified for something that he did? oh dear... it just makes me so sad...
